Food 4 Thought: STRENGTH

Food 4 thought

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isiah 40: 29-31, NIV)

Have you ever felt like you have no strength to go on? Powerless? Weary? Well if the answer is YES, we are in the boat. We all face trials, whether financially, educationally, spiritually or personally. We all have and will have those experiences. However while it’s natural to feel bewildered, we don’t have to. God will strengthen us in our weakness if we  place our trust in Him. I can tell you, that it can seem terribly hard to do when your situation looks unsolvable and there seems to be no way out.

I think it all starts by KNOWING the God we serve and having the FAITH to believe that He keeps His promises. When we try to face our obstacles on our own, it’s like choosing to walk barefoot in a field of prickles (in Jamaica we call it “macka”) when you could be swimming in a cool oasis. Why bear unnecessary burden when you have someone who is more than willing and able to help?

So friend, when you have no strength to fight, look to the hills from wence cometh your help. God WILL strengthen you if you trust Him. If you don’t believe it, look at what He did for David when He defeated Goliath. God is able to beat any odds, He is GOD! I am sure He has done miracles for you before. Remember the strongest person is not the one who is able to take the most punches, but one who puts his trust in the Lord!
