Recently God used Amos 5, particularly verses 21-24 to help me to have a better understanding of the essence of WORSHIP. You see, the people of Israel were offering God worship that was insincere and there was plenty of sin taking place in the land. This angered God and He HATED their worship (Amos 5:21-23). Their music was noise to Him (v23), their burnt offerings were meaningless (v22) and their assembling together was a STENCH(v21b). Continue reading →
